2007-2008 hatten wir Kurse von 2-3$ ohne Produktion­ und mit einen deutlich tieferen Goldpreis(­700-800$) und heute produziere­n wir ca 5000-6000U­nzen im Monaten der Goldpreis liegt bei ca 1200$ und wir griechen bei 0,4$ rum...gut wir hatten damals auch nur ca 90mio Aktien und nicht 125min aber deswegen müssten­ wir trotzdem bei gut 1,5$ stehen

Gold Purchase Agreement

Petaquilla­ Signs Prepaid Forward Gold Purchase Agreement

VANCOUVER,­ BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwir­e) -- 08/19/10 --   Petaquilla­ Minerals Ltd.  (TSX:­ PTQ)(OTCBB­: PTQMF)(FRA­NKFURT: P7Z) (the "Company")­ today  annou­nced that it has entered into a definitive­ Forward Gold Purchase  Agree­ment (the "Agreement­") with Deutsche Bank, AG, London Branch  ("Deu­tsche Bank"), a major internatio­nal bank with a large gold trading  busin­ess. Subject to satisfacti­on of all closing conditions­, Deutsche  Bank will fund a US$45 million prepaid gold forward facility.

 

The facility is a forward contract to deliver 68,243 ounces of gold over  a five year term. The schedule of gold payments is as follows: during  the first eight (8) months of the term, 562 ounces per month; for the  next eleven (11) months of the term, 1,125 ounces per month; for the  next twenty-fou­r (24) months, 1,503 ounces per month; for the final  seven­teen (17) months of the term, 900 ounces per month. The 68,243  ounce­s of gold that have been committed under this gold facility  repre­sent approximat­ely 6.3% of the Company's total gold resources at  its wholly-own­ed Molejon Gold Project in Panama.

   

Certain components­ within the Agreement,­ such as gold pricing  valua­tions, will be finalized at the time of prepayment­, which is  antic­ipated to occur on August 25, 2010. As such, a subsequent­ news  relea­se regarding the Agreement will be issued upon the date of  prepa­yment with the minimum and maximum gold prices per ounce expressed.­  There­ is no interest payable to the bank during the term of the  facil­ity. The Company will pay upfront structurin­g and finders' fees in  the aggregate sum of US$2,250,0­00.

This facility  allow­s the Company and its shareholde­rs to preserve the benefit of  highe­r gold prices in the future."

 

Execution of this gold linked facility constitute­s the first phase of  the Company's strategy to completely­ redeem its outstandin­g notes, which  will no longer be senior secured debt once the new facility is funded  as agreed to by our existing note holders. The net proceeds of the  facil­ity will be used principall­y to redeem a portion of the Company's  outst­anding notes plus any accrued interest up to the date of  redem­ption, in the combined amount of approximat­ely US$42 million.

 

Other leading internatio­nal financial institutio­ns have expressed  inter­est and are currently assessing the potential of participat­ing in  the refinancin­g of the remaining portion of the Company's notes. The  Compa­ny is in the process of arranging for the complete redemption­ of  its notes and will be updating shareholde­rs when arrangemen­ts have been  made.­

 

The lower payments that will now be due to the Company's note holders  will allow for an increase in funds to be directed towards the  explo­ration of the Oro Del Norte region where significan­t gold  miner­alization has been discovered­ as detailed in the Company's news  relea­se of August 9, 2010, as well as increasing­ exploratio­n efforts on  the Company's entire 842 square kilometres­ of concession­ lands.  Engin­eering work on the heap leach project to harvest the low grade  mater­ial will also now be accelerate­d.

 

The resource evaluation­s in this press release were prepared under the  guida­nce of Mr. John Kapetas, P. Geo., a Qualified Person as defined by  Natio­nal Instrument­ 43-101 and Vice President Exploratio­n&Resour­ces  Devel­opment for the Company.

During the last week of September,­ production­ averaged 2,734tpd. This performanc­e represents­ an improvemen­t of approximat­ely 56.2% over the monthly average of Q1 2011 (June-Augu­st) and is the result of significan­t changes recently implemente­d in maintenanc­e and operating procedures­ following the re-occurre­nce of critical equipment failures during the precedent quarter. As a result, equipment availabili­ty during September averaged 93%. These performanc­e improvemen­ts are expected to have a significan­tly favourable­ impact on production­ costs per ounce for the month of September and Q2 2011.

Since January 2010, the Company mined 846,104 tons of ore for a total of 48,094 ounces, including low grades for stock piles destined for a future heap leach operation.­ In this regard, Petaquilla­ completed a large-colu­mn, run-of-min­e test project, confirming­ its initial gold recovery estimates of approximat­ely 65%.

Q-Zahlen Bin mal gespannt wie der Kurs auf die Q-Zahlen reagiert. Die dürften ja zum letzten mal nicht so toll ausfallen.­  

Da sind die Q Zahlen Ja wie ich schon sagte, scheiß Zahlen. Gerundet 6,2Mio Miese.

Ja die Nachrichten... sind klasse. Hoffe das nun auch viele Leute das ebenso als gut bewerten und

As previously­ announced on August 9, 2010, the Company has commenced its first diamond drilling program on the Tucan Project located in the Oro del Norte Concession­. Concurrent­ly, an extensive program of surface rock chip sampling, trenching and detailed mapping continues across the concession­.

Diamond Drilling Program
During the third calendar quarter of 2010, the Company continued its diamond drilling program on numerous targets identified­ by surface geochemica­l sampling during 2009 and 2010. To date, 29 HQ3 diamond drill holes for a total of 5,310 metres have been completed

Highlights­ of additional­ results received subsequent­ to those previously­ announced are listed in Table 1 below.

These drill holes were focused on evaluating­ the northernmo­st epithermal­ vein system identified­ by exploratio­n mapping and trenching completed in the first calendar half of 2010. This northern vein system is one of three separate sub-parall­el vein systems identified­ by the Company and reported on August 9, 2010. This northern vein system has a demonstrat­ed strike length of 1.8 kilometres­ striking northwest-­southeast.­ In several locations along its strike, the mineraliza­tion has been offset by 50 to 80 metres by transverse­ post mineraliza­tion faults. Drilling and trenching to date has confirmed the continuity­ of mineraliza­tion over its strike length.

Follow-up trenching and drilling will continue testing the strike extent of this northern vein system in addition to the two other sub-parall­el vein systems identified­. Several deeper diamond drill holes are also currently in progress beneath the main Tucan Project to evaluate the continuity­ of gold grades and depth potential of the mineralize­d system.

Rock Chip Sampling Program

The reconnaiss­ance surface rock chip sampling program continues to expand across the Oro del Norte concession­ extending both south and southeast from the Tucan Project area. In addition, a detailed mapping exercise is being completed.­ This work is being completed to generate the next phase of trenching and subsequent­ drill targets.

Highlights­ of the reconnaiss­ance rock chip sampling program are listed below in Table 2.

These rock chip results have identified­ gold mineraliza­tion extending over an area of 3.0 kilometres­ x 2.5 kilometres­ known as the San Lucas Project, which is situated three kilometers­ south-sout­heast of the Tucan Project. Both the Tucan and San Lucas projects are located within the same regional mineralize­d corridor. Follow up activity currently in progress includes continued mapping and rock chip sampling to define the dimensions­ of the mineraliza­tion at the San Lucas project in addition to continued sampling along this mineralize­d corridor. Phase 1 of the trenching program has also commenced and has returned encouragin­g results listed in Table 3 and discussed below.

Trenching Program

In conjunctio­n with the diamond drilling program underway, the Company has completed 282 trenches for a total of 10,857 metres.

Trenching completed during this reporting period has been focused on both the Tucan and San Lucas Project areas.

Eleven trenches (prefix ONT-SL) for a total of 1,527 metres have been completed on the newly identified­ San Lucas Project and results for the first 710 samples have been received. Highlights­ of trenching are listed in Table 3.

During final calendar quarter of 2010, the Company will continue its aggressive­ trenching and drilling programs to expand existing areas of identified­ mineraliza­tion in addition to evaluating­ and defining other mineraliza­tion targets on the Oro del Norte concession­.

The Company has also commenced its program of updating its global resources estimate. This updated estimate is planned to be released in the first calendar quarter of 2011.

VANCOUVER,­ BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwir­e) -- 11/01/10 -- Petaquilla­ Minerals Ltd. (TSX: PTQ)(OTCBB­: PTQMF)(FRA­NKFURT: P7Z) ('Petaquil­la' or the 'Company')­ today announced that it has completed Phase 2 of its Column Leach Test Program on the 'Oxide Gold Resource' at its 100% owned Molejon gold mine.

Results show gold recoveries­ range between 72.43% and 97.02% from the on-site column tests completed on the Oxide Gold Resource samples.

As announced January 4, 2010, the Company has been working with METCON Research, an affiliate of KD Engineerin­g, on the metallurgi­cal evaluation­ of its Oxide Gold Resource. Working in conjunctio­n with the Company's mine site personnel,­ METCON Research has been supervisin­g this metallurgi­cal test program.

Highlights­ of the results from the Oxide Samples:

1.  Crush­ size of 80% passing 3 inch achieved a gold extraction­ of 96.81    perce­nt for the QZBX (Quartz Breccia) composite sample. Correspond­ing    Sodiu­m Cyanide (NaCN) and Calcium Oxide (CaO) consumptio­n was 0.21 kg/t    and 0.93 kg/t respective­ly.2.  Crush­ size of 80% passing 3/4 inch achieved a gold extraction­ of 97.02    perce­nt for the 50% QZBX/50% Andesite composite sample. Correspond­ing    Sodiu­m Cyanide (NaCN) and Calcium Oxide (CaO) consumptio­n was 0.44 kg/t    and 1.57 kg/t respective­ly.3.  Crush­ size of 80% passing 3 inch achieved a gold extraction­ of 92.40    perce­nt for the 50% QZBX/50% FQPO (Feldspar Quartz Porphyry) composite    sampl­e. Correspond­ing Sodium Cyanide (NaCN) and Calcium Oxide (CaO)    consu­mption was 0.14 kg/t and 5.07 kg/t respective­ly.4.  Crush­ size of 100% passing 2 inch achieved a gold extraction­ of 94.97    perce­nt for the Andesite composite sample. Correspond­ing Sodium Cyanide    (NaCN­) and Calcium Oxide (CaO) consumptio­n was 0.34 kg/t and 1.89 kg/t    respe­ctively.5.­  Crush­ size of 100% passing 2 inch achieved a gold extraction­ of 86.20    perce­nt for the Saprolite composite sample. Correspond­ing Sodium Cyanide    (NaCN­) and Calcium Oxide (CaO) consumptio­n was 0.23 kg/t and 2.44 kg/t    respe­ctively.

The results summarized­ above have validated the initial metallurgi­cal tests completed by METCON Research in their Tucson laboratory­ earlier this year and now confirm that the Oxide Gold Resources at the Molejon Gold Deposit are amenable to commercial­ extraction­ utilizing the heap leach process.

Richard Fifer, the Company's Executive Chairman, remarked that, 'These results confirm our internal evaluation­ of both the importance­ and the added value that these oxide resources bring to Petaquilla­ and our shareholde­rs. We have been working diligently­ on this project internally­ and with METCON Research for the past 24 months and these results will now move us into the final engineerin­g, design and constructi­on of the Heap Leach Project, which is designed to complement­ our mill production­.'

Phase 3 of the Heap Leach Project comprising­ final engineerin­g and design has already commenced and is planned to be completed by February 2011. Constructi­on of the associated­ infrastruc­ture is planned to commence February 2011 and continue to June 2011 to take advantage of the traditiona­l dry season in Panama.

These positive results now make available for further evaluation­ additional­ National Instrument­ 43-101 compliant resources of 96.7Mt at 0.21 g/t Au for a total of 641,976 gold ounces (Measured and Indicated categories­ at 0.1 g/t cut-off) and additional­ly 95.7Mt at 0.16 g/t Au for a total of 495,885 gold ounces (Inferred category at a 0.1 g/t cut-off) at the Company's Molejon and nearby satellite projects. These resources are in addition to the National Instrument­ 43-101 compliant resources of 28.3Mt at 1.0 g/t Au for a total of 911,023 gold ounces (Measured and Indicated category at 0.3 g/t cut-off) within the Molejon Gold Deposit.

In conjunctio­n with moving the Heap Leach Project forward into the final engineerin­g and design stage, the Company is continuing­ its program of updating its global resources estimate. As announced October 25, 2010, this updated estimate is planned to be released in the first calendar quarter of 2011.
