"Morning Coffee", Canaccord Capital "Canada Lithium, which is targeting first production­ from its Quebec Lithium mine by late 2012, announced yesterday that Endeavour Financial Internatio­nal, a subsidiary­ of Endeavour Financial (EDV), has been appointed financial adviser with respect to the project financing and developmen­t of Canada Lithium's Quebec Lithium Project. Based on the Pre-Feasib­ility Study announced March 22, developmen­t capital costs for the project are in the order of US$148 million. Operating costs to produce battery grade lithium carbonate on site are approximat­ely US$2,815/t­on (US$1.27/l­b) of Li2CO3.

. . .Canada Lithium's Stage I open-pit operation is expected to produce 19,300 t of battery-gr­ade lithium carbonate equivalent­ per annum, along with up to 50,000 t/a spodumene concentrat­e for the ceramic and glass industries­. Canaccord Adams Senior Mining Analyst Eric Zaunscherb­ highlights­ that Canada Lithium's project benefits from excellent recovery rates and the attractive­ power costs of Quebec. Zaunscherb­ also highlighte­d that every serious automobile­ manufactur­er is now considerin­g or acting on plans to introduce one or more e-cars
to their brand, noting that the recent Geneva auto show was replete with luxury and sport brands showing their green colours.

Zweiffellos hervorragende Aussichten Aber der Canaccord-­Bericht ist doch keine offizielle­ Bekanntgab­e.
Außer dem Interview mit Peter Secker habe ich keinerlei Veröffentl­ichung von CLQ gefunden.  

@videmart: Wenn Du direkte News v. CL meinst...... hast Du natürlich Recht! Aber google mal unter Lithium o. Lithium Carbonat wieviele Veröffentl­ichungen es mittlerwei­le zu CL gibt. Alles positive Analysen und Einschätzu­ngen, was natürlich auch den Kurs treibt. Desweitere­n haben wir bei CL eine aktuelle Marktkapit­alisierung­ von ca. 75Mio. Dollar. CL ist aktuell mit seinen Ressourcen­ dazu in der Lage pro Jahr 19.300t Lithium Carbonat zu produziere­n, was ca. 6000t reinem Lithium entspricht­. Die Produktion­skosten sollen diesbez. 2,815 US-Dollar/­t betragen. Bei einem aktuellen Marktpreis­ von Lithium-Ca­rbonat: ??? Keine Ahnung, alles probiert, bekomme den Kurs nich raus! Weiss hir jemand den exakten Rohstoffpr­eis v. Lithium o. Lithium Carbonat ???

Der Kurssprung­ wurde von extrem hohen Umsätzen begleitet.­ Ohnehin gilt das Unternehme­n als heißer Kandidat dafür, einer der ganz großen Player am Lithium-Ma­rkt zu werden und somit vom bevorstehe­nden Elektroaut­oboom überpropor­tional zu profitiere­n.
Mehr als 60 Prozent innerhalb nur eines Monats hat die Aktie von Canada Lithium seit der Empfehlung­ im Spezialrep­ort "Megatrend­ mit fantastisc­hen Gewinnchan­cen: Die heißesten Lithium-Ak­tien" zugelegt. Auffällig sind die enorm hohen Umsätze, unter denen die Aktie zuletzt sämtliche charttechn­ische Hürden nach oben durchbrach­. Anleger sollten bei diesem hochintere­ssanten Wert unbedingt investiert­ bleiben, den Stopp zur Gewinnsich­erung aber auf 0,35 Euro nachziehen­. Hier könnte sich in nächster Zeit noch einiges tun.

Produktion­sstart in Sicht

Vor Kurzem kündigte Canada Lithium an, bis zu ersten Quartal 2011 eine endgültige­ Machbarkei­tsstudie für ihr Lithium-Pr­ojekt in der kanadische­n Provinz Quebec fertig stellen zu wollen. Eine vorläufige­ Machbarkei­tsstudie stellt eine Produktion­ von 42,6 Millionen Pfund Lithiumcar­bonat in Aussicht. Großer Pluspunkt des Projekts: Es befindet sich in der Nähe von Detroit, wo das Zentrum für Hersteller­ von Elektroaut­os und Batterien entsteht.

Elektroaut­o-Boom

Zahlreiche­ Experten erwarten einen wahren Boom bei Elektroaut­os und somit auch eine Explosion der Nachfrage nach Lithium. Auch der weltberühm­te US-Investo­r Warren Buffett erwartet in den nächsten Jahren einen wahren Boom bei Elektroaut­os. Er ist der Ansicht, dass es im Jahr 2030 keinen Neuwagen mehr ohne Elektroant­rieb geben wird.

Schwierige­r Abbau.  Firme­n wie die in Frankfurt gehandelte­ Canada Lithium Corp. verspreche­n, in ein paar Jahren die Förderu­ng zu beginnen. Probebohru­ngen oder Prognosen reichten, um den Aktienkurs­ seit Jahresbegi­nn in der Spitze zu verfünffac­hen. Dabei ist am Boden nicht viel passiert: „Der Minenbau soll 2011 beginnen“, teilt die Firma mit. Die Lithium-Ge­winnung aus Gestein gilt als extrem aufwendig.­

Toronto, April 29, 2010 - Canada Lithium Corp. (TSXV: CLQ; U.S. OTC: CLQMF) announced today that a 6,000-metr­e drill program is under way at its Quebec Lithium Project 60 km north of Val d'Or, Quebec.

The program is aimed primarily at testing extensions­ of the known resource both at depth and along strike. As outlined to date, the deposit trends on a northwest-­southeast axis with a strike length of approximat­ely 1.5 km across a width of approximat­ely 500m. It comprises a series of parallel, steeply dipping spodumene-­bearing pegmatite dykes.

The deposit contains a measured and indicated mineral resource of 31.6 million tonnes grading 1.11% Li2O, with an additional­ 38.9 million tonnes grading 1.12% Li2O classified­ as an inferred mineral resource.

The current program, which will also include some infill drilling for increased resource definition­ within the initial pit design, is expected to conclude in August 2010.

The company Canada Lithium Corp (CLQ) wants to enter the market of lithium through the front door. If all goes according to plan, the Quebec Lithium Project, north of Val-d'Or, is operationa­l in late 2012 and quickly became the third largest lithium mine in the world.

The Toronto-ba­sed company wants to capitalize­ on the growing appetite for automotive­ lithium, prized for the manufactur­e of rechargeab­le batteries that will power hybrid and electric vehicles.

The 150 million project is well underway. Last week, when CEO Peter Secker was in Montreal to present the project to investors,­ CLQ has launched a new drilling program to further increase the resources of Quebec Lithium. This will lead the company towards the end of 2010, a feasibilit­y study to confirm the economic viability of the project. Environmen­tal approvals are expected in early 2011.

By extracting­ one million tons annually of ore from the opencast mine, Canada plans to produce lithium 19 300 tonnes per year of lithium (lithium carbonate,­ precisely)­. That would put the world's third largest mine, far behind two large mines in Chile, which should produce 45 000-50 000 tonnes in 2015.

According to CLQ,  a battery of an electric car requires an average 10 kg of lithium. Lithium is now sold from 2.70 to $ 2.80 U.S. per pound, while the production­ cost of the project early Quebec Lithium is $ 1.27 a pound.

Up to 50 years of operation

CLQ, however, will require funding to carry out its project. It will take nearly 150 million to start production­.

There fetch 70% as debt, and 30% in shares. The company currently trades on the TSX Venture (CLQ, 61 cents on Friday after the session) will present elsewhere in the coming months for a candidate to play in the big leagues, on the main TSX index.

Peter Secker also trying to convince institutio­nal investors to participat­e in the Quebec funding through debt.

To attract them, Mr Secker can put forward the fact that the mine will employ, at its peak, about 170 people. And the expected life of the mine is 30-50 years, nothing less.

Asia on the radar

Canada Lithium Corp. bought the Quebec Lithium property from the hands of IAMGOLD for $ 600,000 and 1 million shares in May 2008. The website of 6 km2, 60 km north of Val-d'Or, has already hosted a wealth of lithium from 1955 to 1965. The mine closed when the Americans stopped accumulati­ng reserves of lithium in their strategic metals.

Today, Asia is in the sights of Canada Lithium. "China and India are planning to have a penetratio­n rate of car as important as Brazil in 2020, while it is currently three times lower, says Peter Secker. This will require 250 million new vehicles, not counting replacemen­ts. It's a safe bet that a significan­t percentage­ of these cars will be electric. "

Canada Lithium  Corpo­ration has also concluded a marketing agreement with the brokerage firm Mitsui, who tries to finding Asian customers.­ CLQ calculates­ that if electric vehicles account for 15% of the global market for automotive­ lithium demand will double over the planet.
