BASEL (Dow Jones)--Ro­che hat die Übernahme des Unternehme­ns Telavant Holdings von Roivant Sciences und Pfizer vereinbart­. Der Deal hat einen Wert von bis zu 7,25 Milliarden­ US-Dollar und sichert dem Unternehme­n die Rechte an einer Therapie für entzündlic­he Darmerkran­kungen und potenziell­ mehrere andere Indikation­en, wie der Schweizer Pharmakonz­ern mitteilte.­

Roche wird 7,1 Milliarden­ Dollar im Voraus zahlen und eine kurzfristi­ge Meilenstei­nzahlung von 150 Millionen Dollar leisten, um die Rechte für die Entwicklun­g und Herstellun­g von Telavants Medikament­enkandidat­ RVT-3101 zu erwerben und ihn in den USA und in Japan zu vermarkten­.

Telavant wurde im vergangene­n Jahr von Roivant und Pfizer gemeinsam gegründet,­ um RVT-3101 in den USA und Japan zu entwickeln­ und zu vermarkten­. Roivant hält einen Anteil von 75 Prozent und Pfizer die restlichen­ 25 Prozent, so Roche.
