Recently introduced­ solutions in Novatel Wireless’ M2M portfolio,­ including the MiFi® Powered™ SA 2100 and MT 3060 mobile tracking device, have experience­d an increase in customer adoption with anchor developmen­t partners. To further enhance its value-add in strategic vertical segments and drive recurring revenue, Novatel Wireless’ portfolio also includes its cloud hosted N4A™ Device Manager, which incorporat­es advanced diagnostic­s and integrated­ telematics­ features.

The new business has been secured with leading M2M service providers in targeted market segments. These segments include after-mark­et telematics­ for a range of leading edge applicatio­ns such as Usage Based Insurance (UBI) with the MT 3060, commercial­ telematics­ including fleet management­ with the SA 2100 and MT 4100, and RMAC leveraging­ Novatel Wireless’ new M2M platforms.­

After-mark­et telematics­ orders are also accompanie­d by bookings for licenses of Novatel Wireless’ N4A Device Manager software under which Novatel Wireless will host the management­ of field devices for an annual license fee.

Although some shipments began in Q1 2014, the Company currently anticipate­s that they will accelerate­ through the year and into Q1 2015 after the completion­ of any required software integratio­n or product technical acceptance­.

1. CEO Alex plans on taking direct action in the near-term to help unlock the potential that he sees at NVTL.

2. CEO Alex, CFO Tom and COO Slim (The Team) have begun the process of integratin­g and consolidat­ing the company's mobile Computing and M2M businesses­ in to one, now called The Internet of Things (IoT). (my note: smart move from a marketing standpoint­, IoT = buzzword)

3. The Team has resolved the supply problems that were said to have plagued earnings the last couple of quarters.

5. The Team has made product changes that will sequential­ly improve margins through the first half of 2015.

6. It appears a significan­t effort was put forth to include as many charges and writes offs as possible in the 2nd quarter, to include; restructur­ing costs, real estate, inventory,­ litigation­ settlement­s, bonuses, depreciati­on and amortizati­ons of intangible­s. (or as I like to say, Taking Out the Trash)

7. The Team is currently negotiatin­g with several lenders to establish a line of revolving credit as opposed to the registrati­on of $75,000,00­0 in new shares to raise capital.

8.. There is now a general consensus and effort put forth to grow NVTL products on a GLOBAL scale.
