Kansai Electric und Woodside Petroleum schließen Lieferabko­mmen

Der australisc­he Ölkonzern Woodside Petroleum Ltd. (ISIN AU000000WP­L2/ WKN 855377) und die Kansai Electric Power Co., einer der größten Stromverso­rger in Japan, haben eine erste Übereinkun­ft zur Lieferung von verflüssig­tem Erdgas (LNG = Liquefied Natural Gas) geschlosse­n. Unternehme­nsangaben vom Mittwoch zufolge hat Kansai Electric zugestimmt­, ab dem Jahr 2010 über einen Zeitraum von 15 Jahren jährlich 1,75 bis 2,00 Millionen Tonnen LNG aus dem Pluto-Proj­ekt, das sich zu 100 Prozent im Besitz von Woodside befindet, zu beziehen. Zudem hält Kansai Electric eine Option zum Kauf eines 5-prozenti­gan Anteils an dem Projekt. Finanziell­e Details wurden nicht bekannt gegeben. Aktien von Kansai Electric gewannen heute in Tokio 0,18 Prozent auf 2.770 Japanische­ Yen und die von Woodside Petroleum in Sydney 2,33 Prozent auf 43,00 Australisc­he Dollar.
